To secure a lasting future for all native butterflies and moths
To promote their conservation world-wide
To use their popular appeal to promote wildlife conservation generally
To establish partnerships to achieve these goals

  • co-ordination and implementation of butterfly and moth action plans, mainly through policy and advisory work, and research, survey & monitoring and working with others
  • recruiting and training volunteers for surveys and monitoring
  • promoting gardening for butterflies and moths
  • promoting butterflies and moths as environmental indicators
