LINK's fourth Scottish Environment Week held in and around Parliament in February 2008 was an opportunity to focus on the importance of our environment to the society and economy of Scotland.

The overall theme was A climate for change: enabling sustainable livelihoods

Through a variety of seminars, exhibitions and events, the theme explored how government, business and the public can inspire others and facilitate change towards sustainable development, low impact lifestyles and the carbon neutral society.

• Seminar on the Scottish Marine Bill and premier of a Marine DVD
  
  
• Business Breakfast Forum with John Swinney MSP Cabinet Secretary and Patrick Harvie MSP speaking about Planning for Sustainable Livelihoods
  
  
• Seminar on Active Travel Plans hosted by Nanette Milne MSP
  
  
• A LINK Biodiversity Task Force Exhibition in the showed the variety of Scotland's biodiversity.
  
  
• About half of all MSPs and their staff visited the LINK Information Desk in the Upper Garden Lobby during the week. LINK publications, DVD and leaflets showed the work undertaken by LINK, its member organisations and sponsors.
