Scotland, the best small country in the world? Report on LINK Members’ Congress 24 & 25 November 2006.
There is increasing recognition that the environment is the context in which all other spheres of human activity operate, though much work to be done, not least by all those attending today, to change the culture in which the environment is treated as an ‘add on’. Fred introduced Ed Douglas, journalist and mountaineer who was commissioned to write a report on the theme Scotland, the best small country in the world? for the Congress, and Paul McAleavey, a Scot who works with the European Environment Agency, to give a European perspective on the issue.
