Board Member – Cairngorms National Park Authority
Location: Cairngorms National Park, Scotland (with remote and in-person commitments)
Hours: Part-time, flexible – including board and committee meetings.
The time commitment is between a minimum of 32 days and a maximum of 36 days per year. Further information on the time commitment is set out in the Applicant Information Pack.
Remuneration: £262.67 per day. Reasonable expenses incurred will be reimbursed. The appointment is non-pensionable.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic planning and delivery of key documents like the National Park Partnership Plan and Local Development Plan
- Oversee major projects including Cairngorms 2030, peatland restoration, and wildfire risk management
- Participate in planning decisions on affordable housing, sustainable tourism, and rural economic growth
- Foster innovation in private finance for nature and climate initiatives
- Act as a public champion for the National Park’s values and sustainable future
