Finance Officer, Scottish Environment LINK

This opportunity is for the Finance Officer role. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance and Operations, the postholder will ultimately be responsible for managing the day to day financial administration of the organisation.

The Finance Officer provides effective support for the organisation on all aspects of finance ensuring that the function always runs smoothly. The successful candidate will have ultimate responsibility for the integrity of all financial records and accounting to include Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, expenses, cash, bank, journals, accruals/prepayments leading to financial reports.

They will also be responsible for driving some aspects of back-office operations to include: managing the Perth office and coordinating the interface with IT support firm and supporting governance operations.

Communications and Engagement Officer, Friends of the Earth Scotland (maternity cover)

🧑‍💻We are looking for a Communications and Engagement Officer for a 1 year maternity cover role. This person will help us win campaigns and engage people to be part of a movement for positive change.  

📋 Responsibilities include press work, writing supporter emails, social copy, helping produce our printed members magazine and more.

💷This is a 5 days/ week role (4 days considered), hybrid with our office in Edinburgh – £35,000 per year FTE.

The role holder will deliver impactful communications that help win campaigns, increase awareness of and engagement with the work of the organisation. 

Key responsibilities include securing positive media coverage, regular supporter communications including email and our printed member magazine, as well creating digital content for our website and social media channels.  

Sitting within the Communications and Engagement team, the postholder will work closely with campaigners across the organisation, the Movement Building team, the Operations team, our political staff, and senior management.

Development Officer, Bright Green Nature

We are seeking a Development Officer to help strengthen and grow our organisation. This dynamic new role is ideal for someone passionate about people, nature, and impact. The postholder will support:

  • Financial and budgetary planning
  • Fundraising and income generation
  • Project development and management
  • Impact monitoring and reporting

You’ll work closely with our CEO and wider team to expand our reach, secure sustainable funding, and drive meaningful environmental change.
