Proportion of native vs. non-native woodland creation over the past 3 years.
In the past three years of data, 95% of woodland created in the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park area has been native woodland. Most of this woodland creation was in 2024/25.
Comparable data for the Cairngorms National Park is not available. However, Scottish Forestry advise that well over 90% of the woodland creation in the Cairngorms National Park is native woodland. In both National Parks this is significantly higher than the proportion of native woodland in woodland creation nationally.
