Number of Species Control Agreements and Species Control Orders in place since 2024.
NatureScot are the lead public body for dealing with invasive non-native species (INNS) on land. NatureScot, and other public bodies, have legal powers to use Species Control Agreements (SCAs) or Species Control Orders (SCOs) to tackle INNS. SCAs are voluntary agreements with landowners, while SCOs are compulsory and can require landowners to take certain actions to tackle INNS.
Between 2024 and 2026 there was no use of either SCAs or SCOs.
