Recorded incidents of discharge from sewer overflows.
The data shows an upward trend in the number of events where discharges from overflows were recorded. Over the same period, the total volume of discharges recorded declined.
This data covers Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs), Settled Storm Sewage Overflows (SSSOs), and Emergency Overflows (EOs). As not all overflows are monitored this data is incomplete and does not provide a full picture of the extent of possible pollution.
