The Co-Conveners of the Planning Group wrote a letter to the Minister for Public Finance, Hannah Mary Goodlad MSP, regarding the Programme for Government and its proposals for planning reform. LINK welcomes the commitment to increasing planning system capacity and recognises the need for an effective and well-resourced planning system. However, the letter outlines how we want to ensure that efforts to speed up planning and development do not weaken environmental safeguards or opportunities for meaningful community participation.
